Spectrum S-Flex 85A

Flexibility with outstanding impact resistance and thermal insulation

Spectrum S-Flex 85A is a printing filament based on thermoplastic polyether polyurethane (TPU). In 3D printing, S-Flex 85A is known for being easy and reliable to print, with a low risk of print defects. One of the material's biggest advantages is excellent adhesion of the first layer to the build surface, whether it is made of glass, steel, plastic or another material.

Low shrinkage during printing and high flexibility significantly reduce the risk of edge curling (warping). The number 85A in the name refers to the Shore A hardness of the material, which classifies it as a rigid elastomer. This hardness reduces the likelihood of the filament deforming in the printer's feeding system and makes it possible to print faster than with softer elastic materials.

Parts printed from Spectrum S-Flex 85A have very good resistance to hydrolysis, high recyclability and outstanding resistance to repeated mechanical stress. The material is therefore particularly well suited to impact protection, edge guards, seals, protective parts with high chemical resistance and heat-insulating components.
