LANDU Silk Tri-Color is a specialised co-extruded filament in which three separate colours run side by side through the entire 1.75 mm filament. This creates a complex “chameleon effect”, where the model shows different colours depending on the angle it is viewed from.
Key features
Three-colour shifts: . Because the colours are co-extruded (not a colour gradient), all three colours are visible at the same time on different surfaces of the print.
High-gloss Silk finish: The “Silk” composition gives a reflective, satin-like finish that hides layer lines well and creates models that look like showpieces.
Precise winding: Like other LANDU products it has high dimensional accuracy and is neatly wound on a plastic spool to prevent tangles in long prints.
Recommended print settings
To prevent colours from “blending together” and to maximise gloss:
| Setting |
Recommended value |
| Nozzle temperature |
205–225°C (higher temperature = more gloss) |
| Bed temperature |
50–60°C |
| Print speed |
30–60 mm/s (slower speed gives better colour separation) |
| Retraction |
~1 mm (Direct Drive) / 4–5 mm (Bowden) |
Appearance & purchase information
Appearance: This colour combination is popular for printing, for example, articulated dragons, vases and decorative masks, where complex shapes emphasise the three-way colour change.
Pro tip
Because the filament is co-extruded, the position of the model on the build plate decides which side gets which colour. Do not use settings such as “Rotate on Every Layer” if you want a consistent colour change up the model.
