Next-generation flexibility

Spectrum PEBA is a flexible, high-quality filament that combines the elasticity of rubber with the durability of an industrial plastic. The filament is based on a polyether block amide (PEBA) copolymer and represents a new generation of flexible materials for 3D printing – lighter, more dynamic and more durable than TPU. Thanks to its unique molecular structure, Spectrum PEBA does not absorb and dampen energy like traditional TPU, but stores it and releases it again. This ensures an extremely fast return to the original shape and outstanding responsiveness of the material.

Dynamic elasticity – “High Rebound” effect

The High Rebound effect makes prints from Spectrum PEBA behave in a dynamic and springy way – instead of absorbing impact energy, they return it in the form of rebound. In practice this means that a ball printed from PEBA bounces off the ground, and cushioning or sports items keep their lightness and incredible responsiveness.

Designed for performance in all conditions

The filament has a Shore hardness of 92A and an elongation at break of over 500%, and keeps its mechanical and elastic properties over a wide temperature range, from –40°C to +80°C. Spectrum PEBA stays flexible and dimensionally stable where other elastic materials lose their properties. In addition, the low density (1.02 g/cm³) makes it possible to produce lightweight, resilient and durable functional parts.

Stable printing process and outstanding adhesion

Spectrum PEBA ensures exceptional adhesion between layers and a stable printing process. The material's outstanding elasticity makes it possible to produce cushioning parts, flexible hinges, sports items and protective components with a long service life. The filament is easy to print on direct-drive printers and the balance between hardness (92A) and flexibility gives excellent results even at moderate print speeds.
